  • CSSB states Certi-labelTM shakes or shingles shall be applied with 2 fasteners.
  • Nails must be stainless steel Type 316 in locations within (15) miles of salt water.
  • Outside the salt water zone - nails must be Type 304 or 316 stainless steel, or hot-dipped zinc coated galvanized.
  • Stainless steel nails offer the highest degree of corrosion resistance.
