The beauty of a precisely tapered resquared and rebutted cedar shingle isn’t apparent until it’s firmly fastened to a wall among hundereds of other shingles. No two shingles look quite the same – because they aren’t. Because Mother Nature doesn’t allow shingles to look alike, neither does NuCedar.


NuCedar Classic R&R Shingles are milled, not molded, in a modern day sawmill and have the same unique character and texture as wood. This allows the installer to create a quilt-like effect on the exterior of a home. Classic R&R Shingles offer an extended level of durability and low maintenance that cedar shingles just cannot match.

Like all NuCedar products, NuCedar shingles are available factory finished with Polane, a solar-reflective coating from Sherwin-Williams in 9 standard colors and over 1,400 custom options. Classic R&R Shingles and Shingle Panels are easy to install and specify as they use similar installation techniques as cedar shingles and shingle panels.
